I
know how tempting it is to think that if only I had more willpower,
more money, the ideal partner, the right degree,
the perfect magic pill or (fill in the blank), I'd be okay. It's
easy to get hooked on self blame and external fixes. I offer a
fresh approach.
I'm dedicated to the proposition that, no matter
what your current challenge, at some level you already
know what to do and how to do it. You simply need to develop
the capacities you possess. To help you do this, I have developed
a powerful, multidimensional process that enables you to become
the creative source in your life.
“Carolyn's
powerful process produced results quickly.”

“I loved Carolyn's refreshing,

learned that it's possible for me to choose a healthy partner.”
–SANDY GRIFFITH, recording artist

I developed the Living Well Way over decades as I examined how
I made decisions. My God-fearing, Depression-Era parents, loving
as they were, raised me to follow the rules and be practical
above all. Only gradually did I learn to trust my inner promptings,
distinguish these from mere whims, and act on them. The more
I did this, the more I experienced the joy and satisfaction of
intentionally shaping my life with wisdom and insight.
This practice, combined with years of self-inquiry
into my motivations and their consequences, led me to the insights
that form the core of my Living Well Way philosophy. When motivated
by fear and a sense of external obligation, I experienced heavy-heartedness,
disempowerment, an internal split, and a deadened sensibility
that undermined my creative impulse. Decisions made from this
state were never fruitful. Life contracted, and I felt at a standstill,
disconnected from my authentic self and the larger whole. When
I allowed love and desire—arising as spontaneous, internal impulses—to
fuel my motivation, the converse was true. I felt light-hearted,
innately powerful, internally integrated, alive and creative.
Decisions made from this state propelled me forward. My life
expanded, connections with others became easy, and I felt at
one with my true self and the greater whole.
What should I do? had became What do I want most? This new question
sparked my intuition. As I imagined answers to the question,
I sensed which fit and which didn't. When I consciously added
integrity and intention to the mix, my questions went deeper:
Who am I really? What best expresses who I am? Am I willing to
express this in every aspect of my life? The more I asked these
questions and allowed myself to be guided by the answers, the
more my life and my work blossomed and bore the fruit that nourished
myself and others.
This journey has not been a straightforward one. Time and again,
I have spiraled into fear and powerlessness, but remembering
my practice has faithfully returned me to love and creativity,
the true source of my power and aliveness.
I did not want to keep what I learned to myself. I developed
the Living Well Way so that others can re-experience their creative
source, identify and change what's in the way of expressing this,
and shape a life that brings them satisfaction and joy.
